Background
The drive towards zero carbon homes is well underway, principally through the Government target to
achieve new build ‘zero carbon’ homes by 2016 and non-domestic buildings by 2019. This makes it
increasingly important for developers and specifiers to design to minimise fabric heat loss and overall
energy consumption.
This is a follow-up event to last year’s success, which showcased research by The University of
Aberdeen and Environmental Building Partnership Ltd on an innovative technology to produce low
energy use, low carbon emissions; whilst providing clean, and improved indoor environments.
This event will highlight the drivers for zero carbon buildings, technological opportunities, report on
the final results from the Cala Homes case study and underline the benefits of dynamic breathing
buildings; highlighting its application in standard homes and the opportunities to adapt to non
domestic buildings.
Why you should attend
This event will be of interest to clients, designers and architects (particularly specifiers and building
services engineers), house builders and other developers, as well as those who advise them.
Delegates will gain valuable information on:
- the drivers for zero carbon buildings
- technologies available to deliver a lower carbon building
- an introduction to the use of dynamic breathing system and the energy and air quality benefits
possible
- insight from lessons learnt on case studies and real life projects.
Followed by an opportunity to network over food and drinks
